Az Yet, one of the iconic male supergroups of the 90s, is gearing up for a spectacular comeback with live performances and a highly anticipated new release in 2025. Since their emergence during the golden era of R&B from the late 90s to the mid-2000s, Az Yet has captivated audiences with their smooth, soulful vocals and exquisite harmonies.
Their debut single, "Last Night," soared to #9 on the US Hot 100, claimed the #1 spot on the R&B chart, and peaked at #2 on Australia’s ARIA charts, while spending an impressive two weeks at #1 on New Zealand's RIANZ charts, ultimately earning platinum status in the US. Their second single, "Hard to Say I'm Sorry"—a stunning cover of the Chicago classic featuring Peter Cetera—was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, reaching #8 on the Hot 100 and achieving platinum status.
Hailing from Philadelphia and discovered by the legendary producer Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Az Yet created what many consider one of the greatest ballads of the modern R&B era. Founding member Kenny Terry continues to carry the torch of Az Yet's musical legacy alongside original co-founding member DyShon Benson and new members Jibriel, Drayton, and J. Naugh-T.
Recently, Az Yet garnered an Emmy Award for Best Composition and Arrangement, celebrating their exceptional contribution to the Skip Martin-produced anthem "People Get Ready." In 2024, they proudly unveiled their new lineup with a heartfelt cover of Atlantic Starr's timeless R&B classic "Send For Me."
With the completion of their highly anticipated new album "7154," Az Yet's first release of the year, "Get Used 2 It," was thoughtfully curated by SiriusXM/Heart&Soul's B.J. Stone and is currently enjoying heavy rotation on the airwaves. Their next single, "4 Ya Bday," is set to drop in mid-summer 2025, as the group prepares to captivate audiences with unforgettable live performances later that year.
