"In My House," "All Night Long," and "Candy Man" are not just songs; they are timeless anthems that defined the 80s, and The Mary Jane Girls are one of the most legendary girl groups in music history. 

In 1983, music icon Rick James created a project for Motown Records, The Mary Jane Girls. James' set this girl group apart, creating individual personas for each girl. The two most popular were the Leather Queen- Maxi, and Valley Girl,-Cheri.

Their debut album- The Mary Jane Girls (1983), spawned three R&B Top 20 hits; "Candy Man, All Night Long & Boys." They followed that with 1985, gaining their first Pop Top 10 and number 1 dance record with "In My House."

Original members Maxi and Cheri continue to captivate audiences with their irresistible Mary Jane Girl magic, as MJG ft. Original Mary Jane Girls Maxi & Cheri, for 14 years.

The extraordinary duo of Maxi and Cheri, joined by vocalists- Niki and Makeda, has successfully preserved the legacy of the 80s icons. Whether its an exciting track show or live band, they light up stages in theaters, arenas, and festivals nationwide, sharing the spotlight with a diverse lineup of artists, from Funk to Freestyle.

In 2024, Bernadette Cooper’s Klymaxx electrifying performance took social media by storm, going viral with over 1.5 million views on TikTok and Instagram, marking her triumphant return to the spotlight. 

As the founder of Klymaxx, the iconic all-girl supergroup famous for chart-toppers like "Meeting in the Ladies Room," "I Miss You," and "The Men All Pause," Bernadette captivated audiences worldwide through radio and television.  

Klymaxx's iconic albums Meeting in the Ladies Room (1984) and Klymaxx (1986), as well as Bernadette's first solo album Drama According to Bernadette Cooper (1990) cemented her as a fixture in popular music.

Bernadette continues to release new music. Most recently "Jealous Bitch (You'll Never Be Me)" in 2024 with special guests, Maxi & Cheri of the Original Mary Jane Girls.

The Grand Diva has returned!

Miki Howard, a Grammy-nominated multi-platinum recording artist and actress, began her career at just 17 by joining the renowned group Side Effect in 1978. This experience paved the way for her successful solo career.    

In the mid-1980s, Howard released impactful albums on Atlantic Records, including *Come Share My Love* (1986), *Love Confessions* (1988), and *Miki Howard* (1989), producing five Top 10 singles, including her first number-one hit, establishing her as an R&B powerhouse.

After moving to Giant Records in 1991, she achieved her second number-one single, "Ain't Nobody Like You," and a Grammy nomination in 2001 for *Three Wishes*, Howard continued to impress with her later work, including her latest, *Meha* (2022).    

Her story was also depicted in a compelling TV movie by TVOne, "The Miki Howard Story" starring Teyonah Parris (*WandaVision*, *The Marvels*).

Indira Khan made her debut on the front and back covers of her legendary Mother Chaka Khan's album *Naughty*. From a young age, Indira has been destined for superstardom. 

As the leader of the ‘90s girl group Pretty in Pink, she tasted success early on, paving the way for an impressive career in music.  Indira has captivated audiences worldwide as a featured vocalist in numerous acclaimed shows, including "The Daughters of Soul," where she shared the stage with powerhouse artists like Lalah Hathaway, Sylenna Johnson, and Sandra St. Victor. 

Building on her legacy, Indira has also released solo music, including her latest project *Khantagious* (2024). 

After portraying her famous mom in the 2016 TV movie "The Miki Howard Story, " in 2025, Indira will present "I. Khan: Chaka's Music, My Story." This innovative blend of a one-woman show and concert will unveil her journey as the daughter of an icon, enriched with captivating stories and multimedia elements. The show promises an incredible musical experience, featuring both chart-topping hits and hidden gems from her mom, Chaka Khan's vast catalog spanning the 1970s through the 1990s.  With some creative guidance from Chaka herself, "I.
